Pre-season Week 1 Matchups

The 2005 season is upon us and we kickoff another exciting season with The Kickoff Classic at UBC on Sat Sep 3. There are a number of great games and chances to see the best players in the province over the long weekend.

In an attempt to make the games more exciting and to encourage discussion for each game each week, I've created a separete page for each game and provided a vegas spread. I welcome all of you players, coaches, parents, fans, etc... to leave your comments, smack, injury/player updates for each matchup as we lead up to the games. I will move the lines should the information provided justify that. At the end of each game, you can also leave any scores/stats, smack, or whatever you want as well.

I'll also be posting games of the week for both AAA and AA mid-week and a weekly review every Mon or Tues. Power rankings for AAA and AA are under links to the right, I'll update them every week along with the weekly reviews.

PS. How to read the spread:

LT+3 at Barsby-3 Over/Under 28

So Barsby-3 means Barsby favored to win by a field goal. LT+3 means LT is expected to lose by a field goal.

The Over/Under represents the expected combined score for the game. So O/U 28 means the game should end with a score of something like 17-10 or 14-12 or 17-14, etc....

It's a Vegas style point spread. But of course, we're not betting here (at least most of us) so it's really just a way to more accurately handicap a game (ie. who will win and by how much).
