South Kamloops Titans vs Terry Fox Ravens

Sun, Nov. 13 at 5:30pm, BC Place, Vancouver

The Fanatic spread line:

SK+10 at Fox-10 O/U 35

Final Score 25-0 for Fox. The Ravens start the playoffs on a roll beating a team ranked higher than they should be. Still should be a confidence boost after getting tooled by Cent the week before. Need to start preparing quick for the game of their life vs VC. I've watched the Ravens and if they really come together, could have an outside shot at it. The committee was generous to give South Kam a #8 seed, wouldn't have made the playoffs if Salmon Arm had decided to show up for their game against them. At least the Seniors get the opportunity to play at the Dome for 1 last time in their careers.

The seedings really should be flipped here, but only significant win for Fox all season was over Carson. Fox struggled vs Cent, but Tyson Buchannon was a true stud. He's does everything for the Ravens, DB, RB, R, returns kicks. He's tall, quick, and tough. If South Kam can contain the stud, they will have a chance. Remember the Titans?? Not really... Watched them get taken to the cleaners by New West in pre-season. More recently though they beat a good Salmon Arm team. If that team shows up, could be a mild upset.

I hope South Kam beats Terry Fox. Terry Fox might be one of the most underachieving Triple A programs in the past 10 years! With the population and the transfers from Maple Ridge, this team is a joke! Lets go SK!

I love how you say we have been an underachieving team throughout the past 10 years yet were always around top 5 or in it sooooo wat are you talking about?

Top 5 in your eyes only! The fact is that you haven't won a championship since winning Double A in 1989. You have been benefiting from players from Maple Ridge and Coquitlam Community Football programs with no avail. I think your coaching staff should really be questioning themselves!

I'm not sure about the past decade but over the last 5 or 6 years Fox has been in the playoffs every year. They've been Semi finalists and quarterfinalists several times. Re: kids showing up from Maple Ridge..lets face it pretty well every program has kids from other areas..Centennial for example has and have had kids from Surrey/Cloverdale etc. How about STM..Lots of kids from Surrey/ Whiterock even Coquitlam. At least the Ridge guys are coming to the closest school and coming before grade ten unlike some those other programs kids. Re: Pop's of schools we all know that doesn't really come in to it that much or the Catholic schools wouldn't be able to compete. Having a big school is great if the kids are coming out but at a lot of big schools there is just too many options. ie Soccer, Lacrosse, Hockey and of course the year long BBall programs. Don't know why that previous guy has such a Hard on for Fox but his team if he even plays probably got beat by them in FB or Hoops or something. Overall Fox with maybe Carson might be one of the Best "overall" athletic schools in the province. Check your facts mate!!

I agree...If winning the championship is the only measure of success then I guess a lot of teams are underacheivers.....In the past 20 years only 9 teams have won the championship at AAA. Three of these teams have one it only once North Delta (95) Carson (01) and Hansen (04). The Catholic Schools (who of course don't have catchment areas) Have won it most often..surprize..It's funny how the Calvin McCarthy types (he lived in Surrey) ends up at STM rather than going to Cross...Of course they don't recruit right??

I used to play in Coquitlam Minor and most of my friends went to STM or Centennial...I think evry program gets help from guys who hav played a bunch of community ball. Check out that AA Sands team a ton of those players played community ball in Delta. They played for Coach U and followed him when he got to Sands. I know that the Running back Rao (not sure of speeling :>) from Mouat played community ball in Abby so...not sure that guys point is all that good. Hey didn't Miko, Denton and friends all play Community in Coquitlam? Maybe things kind of even out??

Hey right on...another thing that "Kamloops lover" (Probably really a "f"ing Centaur right?) Doesn't get is that My school Pinetree (O.K. we had a shitty year)Fox, STM, Burnaby and ugh even Centennial play in a pretty tough conference...Of the 8 teams left 3 are from the central conference. It's like this most years (usually STM, Pinetree and Fox get to the second round)At least the Pinetree and Fox don't run and wimp out into another conference like those chicken shit NWest guys afraid of playing STM etc. I was so happy when Farhan's fags got beat by West Van! What was that number 11 over number 6? Awesome!

Yeah Sam Carino (STM's Star) played ball out in Maple Ridge too! Everyone has community players are those teams underacheivers if they don't win it all?
