Holy Cross Crusaders vs Carson Graham Eagles

Fri, Nov. 11 at 3:00pm, BC Place, Vancouver

The Fanatic spread line:

HC-3 at Carson+3 O/U 28

Final Score 33-0 for Holy Cross. The defense did prevail, too bad it was entirely one-sided. Too much Padrinao and Kaplonski up the gut and around the ends for Carson to handle. As many have posted below, the big O-line and D-line basically man-handled Carson. Next up for HC is the undefeated WJ Mouat Hawks (that's assuming they will win tomorrow, which they will). The Crusaders should start praying now for a miracle...


Defense will prevail here. Carson had a great showing last weekend losing to VC. If Carson plays as well as that, they will win here. Holy Cross has good talent at the skill positions. Question will be at QB, who will start, the Senior Padrinao or Gr 10 QB Greene. I actually think Carson has a good chance for a small upset. The Crusaders need to spring Kaplonski loose for some big runs and get a lead early. Carson doesn't have a big play threat to comeback.

    Ya keep doubting us, why not? You have all year. I guess its time to show you though. And after seeing film on Carsonand VC they scored on VC when they were down by 31 and VC'S 2nds were in, so a great showing? ok

    Vc only had their backup qb that is pretty good aswell and joemar espinoso. their d stayed the same and carson drove the field. They had vc 3rd and 20 and they ran it 30 yards. thye also had a gay displacion the kicker penalty on 4th and 10 then vc went for it on 4th and 5 and then scored a td. Yeah at one pint the score was outta hand but off of somewhat luckey breaks.

    I think this will be the best playoff game of round 1. will be very close. going to hc, i can say we taking carson super seriously and know they are a good team, I think it will be a great game.

    This game will not be close. Holy Cross will be up by 20 at half. If Carson is the 10th best team in Triple A, this must be a bad year. They got hammered by Windsor. Got beat by #6 Double A team Sands , lost to Timberline and were beat soundly by Terry Fox. I wonder if President Buchanan, I mean coach Buchanan had any say in the rankings?

    One thing you have to take into account is that Carson got a lot better as the season went on, especially after the strike.

    Carson Defense is legendary and this year is no different. Will be a close game for sure as HC improved a lot over the season as well.

    One thing is for sure, it will be a fantastic game...

    Windsor also beat #3 AAA Centennial. Carson, soundly beat by Terry Fox the first game??? I think not! They lost 18 - 15 and had the ball to win the game. Carson always gets better as the year goes on. I think it will be good game!

    Carson was the only team to shut get a sack against vc and the only team so score that many points( no most starters were still in) and they partially shut down vc's legendary run game except for large breaks that one can expect against a back like tapia.
    Carson has improved alot. They played Fox when they went to team camps in the summer and carson had 10 days of 2 a days.

    In case you have not noticed, VC does not pass that much this year hence they give up very few sacks.

    Im from STM and I am jus shocked, is this the same holy cross team we played in sept? they were flying out there and carson didnt stand a chance from openeing series. So what does this mean, VC over carson 37-19, holy cross 33-0 sound pretty even to me? scorewise anyway, any thoughts? time to get ready for timberline:D

    Let me guess your #44 right? Dude your the biggest loser, a guy with maybe one of biggest builds on the field and your a sissy, pansy!! You cannot hit, block or do anything. All your good for is calling everyone fat and trying to show off your lil muscles. Hahaha too bad this is football and not weightlifting big guy. Good job by carson though, they played tough except #44,#40,#55,#7 whoare just cheap and dirty.

    Start praying? Why? Mouat is a good team, no denying that, but look at last year south Delta got on a roll and had upset inplayoffs. Also Mouat and Hc will not be in dome, there i think advantage to cross. Ive seen Mouats d line and I am thinking they can run the ball on them if their oline plays as good as friday. They played an amazing game against carson. The major thing Cross has to do is shut down the Hawks offense. Im pumped thought, I think it will be alot closer then you and others are thinking. Either way we are not going down without a fight.

    buddy im not one of thoes cheap players but props man u guys wanted it more. Considering that we played the shits i wuld say that u were somewhat comparable to VC. u gotttta work on ure db's they were burnt a few times but but our recievers couldnt catch. Nate bruised his tailbone and didnt practice all week and was really slow. U stopped our running game and we had to pass with a rookie qb. But good game i hope u put up that same showing against mouat

    WOW!! I can't believe that there's a player on Carson that shows some sportsmanship!!! When Timberline beat them they cried and cried about the ref's stealing the game from them now that HC beat the crap out of them they're crying that HC is dirty. When are they going to take responsibility for their own actions? Oh, wait their season is OVER, it won't be this year!

    Just like to say that last post was not a HC player. Secondly thanks alot to the previous post by Carson player. Shows alot of respect on your part. Good luck to you guys. Our dbs were burned once deep and I thought played a really good game. Everyones picking Mouat but I cannot wait....
