Nanaimo Islanders vs Hugh Boyd Trojans
Fri, Oct. 28 at 3:00P, Hugh Boyd, Richmond
The Fanatic spread line:
Nanaimo+35 at Boyd-35 O/U 42
Final Score 33-0 for Boyd. So Boyd does their part to build on a top 10 finish. Getting ready for a huge matchup next week vs Barsby. Good field trip out to the mainland for the Islanders, finish the season off with another trip to the mainland next week to face Seaquam.
Boyd using this game to prepare for Barsby next week. Should easily finish with the #3 seed, could be #2 seed should they beat Barsby next week. Nanaimo struggled before the strike, not much will change here, already looking to next year.

Since the play-offs will be a bracketed 16 team tourney, how can you be talking about #3 seed or #2 seeds?

Well, we don't really know exactly what the seeding will look like. They haven't exactly finalized what they're going to do. If they rank the teams according to their conference, then we will basically have the same kind of playoff format that was originally set out.

Not really. The fifth place team in the Georgia Staight Conference "Frank Hurt" is a better team than any 4th place team in any other conference. ;

Seaquam has a chance to beat Boyd. They can make big plays but are inconsistent everywhere else.

I've watched both teams this year and they are more even than you would think. Boyd is not very good.

Boyd is a well coached team but they lack overall team speed and are not very physical up front. They have a big play receiver who can break open a game but as far as speed as a team they are lacking. They are competitive but no one will watch them and think wow, that is a physical football team. I think that is why they run more ace because they are not going to run the ball down anybody's throats. They are just lacking in those areas which are obviously crucial areas but the coaches do a nice job getting the ball to big play wideout.

Barsby and Boyd will be tight because the coaches from Boyd will prepare well for Barby's version of the double wing. If Boyd can limit the big plays, they can win the game as long as they get the ball to the good wideout.
