Kelowna Owls vs Mt. Boucherie Bears

Tue, Nov. 1 at TBA, Apple Bowl

The Fanatic spread line:

Kelowna+14 at MtB-14 O/U 35

Final Score 27-26. Here's a sideline report of the final few minutes of this thriller

The final 3 minutes go as follows...... Tie Game 14-14

Mt Boucherie Score and miss XP to go ahead 20-14 and kicks off to KSS, a decent return gets KSS to about there own 40... They drive a bit but sputter and turn the ball over on downs at Mt Boucherie 35. Mt Boucherie runs a straight dive to run the clock out (1:40 on clock ) AND FUMBLE.... K.S.S. recovers, and go down and score 3 plays later, make XP to go ahead 21-20. K.S.S. Kicks off to Boucherie who returns the Kick 89 Yds for a TD and go for a 2 Pt Conversion but dont get it... Score 26-21 Mt Boucherie... They onside kick and the ball goes out of bounds at 50 Yd Line.. KSS takes ball there, drive down and score in 4 plays, miss XP.... Score KSS 27 - 26 Time :23 KSS onside kicks... Mt Boucherie tries a flea flicker, player wide open down field, throw is good.... He drops the pass and that pretty much ended the game.
It was a great game to watch, Jesse Warawa from KSS had a punt return and a Kick Return for a TD.

So what does this mean for both teams?? Count Mt Boucherie out, I doubt even a win vs Salmon Arm will get them "selected". Kelowna has the slimmest of chances, it will depend on how much the "selection committee" weighs in on the wins over Rutland and Mt Boucherie here. In any case, it sounded like a fantastic game, congrats to both teams for playing their hearts out. This is what football is all about...

Big game tomorrow for Mt. Boucherie especially with their playoff chances dwindling. The Bears were idle last week and watched South Kam take the lead in their conference with that shocking win over Salmon Arm. If the bears lose tomorrow, they might as well forget about Sat, their season is over. For Kelowna, they're looking for much needed respect. Beat Rutland a few days ago, a win here gives them a tiny bit of consideration for playoffs.

How are KSS chances slim to none? The only team with a better record is South Kam. And Salmon Arm must win their game againts MBSS to be the same as KSS. My question is, How many teams make it from the OK., and who do you think they will be?

Problem is I think the "selection committee" will only go with 2 teams from OK conference. It all depends on who they think is better between:

    Kelowna
    North Delta
    Carson
    Handsworth
    Mt Boucherie

Probably only 3 spots from the above will be chosen.

Kelowna won't get in because they have losses to a Mediocre AA team in Seaquam, they lost to Handsworth & Carson Graham. The exhibition season will hurt them and the selection committee will take 2 from OK conference South Kam and Salmon Arm.
