Yeah i would agree with the grade 8 team beating Cowichan. Could be a semi tuff game for the grade 8's tho.. hahaha probably not tho!!

if you play like crap....almost any team can beat you.
In example, New West fumbled the ball 8 times and lost by a point to Notre Dame.

Is Cowichan as good as STM? Probably not. Are they as good as Centennial? Probably not. Do they want to play football and get better? Definitely.
I dislike to see players dissing other teams and saying that JV teams might beat them. I can't imgaine if the shoe was on the other foot how they would react. Poise and maturity. You can get that from football. You also can get ignorance, elitism, racism, and poor character. All of these have been demonstrated by the previous comments.
Grow up guys. You don't know anything about being mature and learning about life.

agreed, there is a tendency to go overboard on these msg boards/sites but it is the Internet after all, it can bring out the best and worst of people (myself included).
Having said that, I think the point that is being made here is that Cowichan does NOT belong in AAA. I don't pretend to know all the back-door politics going on behind the closed doors of the Official BCHS Football Association, but these kids deserve better. As long as they are in AAA, the pummelling will continue. Not sure how you teach "poise, character, and maturity" to the kids when you get romped week after week, year after year by kids twice your size and twice as fast. If you ask me, I'd say it's an easy way to lose your Football program...

The kids that are "getting romped week after week" are the ones learning "poise, character, and maturity" as opposed to these kids that have won a few games in BC AAA football and think that they are God's gift to football. I suspect that VC (and other teams)play some of their games against some of the US teams to teach the kids "poise, character and maturity" in the face of a real challenge. You can be certain that VC learned alot from their romping by Ferndale, it sure didn't hurt them.

Wow you really need to pull the stick out of your ass. No ones saying anything bad about the people on the team, were saying they suck, and theres nothing wrong with that. If you have not learned that people make fun of other people all in good spirit then you need a little taste of "maturity" yourself.
