Final Score 31-14 for VC. O/U was close, spread was off a bit. The 3 headed monster, Hurst, Denton, Anderson were non-factors for Cent, Miko looked good. Cent couldn't get decent blocking, credit the VC D-Line. VC's O-Line opened huged gaps for Tapia and Espinosa. VC is clearly the frontrunner for Subway Bowl. Cent will drop further if Mouat wins big over Fox.

OK maybe not... But still, this is the one to watch for sure. May even eclipse the total attendance at the Labor Day Classic at UBC. This is THE matchup of the year, the 2 best teams in AAA going head-to-head. A potential Subway Bowl preview featuring #1 VC vs #2 Centennial. VC is coming off last week's game of the week where VC got the breaks they needed on their way to an easy shutout win over STM. At the same time, Centennial was in a tough battle vs Bellingham at the Kickoff Classic, eventually giving way to a bigger, more organized Bellingham team. A win for VC clearly establishes them as Subway Bowl favorite, a Centennial win would silence the nay-sayers and non-believers.


VC Offense: Martinka and Corea look sharp so far at QB. We all know what RB Tapia and WR Henderson/Oliver can do. Add a big strong and deep O-line, and they look formidable.

Cent Defense: D-Line was vulnerable vs Bellingham, but Bellingham's O-line was probably 300lb+ avg/lineman. LB Anderson was hit hard catching a pass going across the middle and left the Bellingham game early, they need him healthy vs VC to be successful.

Cent Offense: QB Hurst is a Michael Vick clone, doesn't have a big arm though. RB Denton is a stud. ?? on the O-line, can they hold up. Lack of passing threat could hurt Cent.

VC Defense: Game will be decided on whether the D-Line can plug gaps, contain Denton/Hurst. Captain Malabuyoc leads the way at Linebacker.
