The KSS Owls played very well in the pre-season going 3-1 (3 wins vs AA teams and the loss to a AAA team). The regular season wasn't so kind, as the Owls lost all 4 regular season games. The Owls can get solace from knowing that of the 4 losses, only 1 was a blowout vs a strong South Kamloops team that dominated league play. QB Kyle Puglia and WR Jeremy Bell led the offense in passing and receiving respectively. RB Jan Nedelec and RB Cody BLanleil shared the load on the ground. The defense was led by G/LB Javen Cam, G/DT Aaron Goddard and T/DL Brendan Wallace.

The Owls return several key players from last year. QB Puglia, RB Blanleil, DT Goddard, DL Brendan Wallace are all back. The team loses WR Bell and LB Cam to graduation however. The team held intra-squad games in the Spring and participated in a 7-on-7 tournament in Burnaby this off-season. The team had mixed results but Coach Anderson was pleased with the rookies and Juniors performance. Key Juniors to watch for this season will be T/DL Dakota Poole, C/LB Evin Polack. Both played last year and had decent contributions on the defense. The defense will be solid, however, the key will be how the offense performs. Puglia and Blanleil need to step up and make plays in order to stay competitive in the Conference.

Despite the effort the Owls had, they team came away empty-handed for the 04/05 regular season. There will be no repeat performance for 05/06. With the core of the team returning this year, the Owls will come away with at least 1 win maybe more. That should bring them at least halfway to a playoff berth. The Owls will face a variety of inter-division opponents in the pre-season. Don't expect the Owls to win any of the games, but should make for some good experience and leadup to the regular season.

Prognosis: 1-3 (Should beat Salmon Arm, could be close vs the other 3)
Key Games: Week 4, Fulton vs KSS; Week 6, KSS vs SA
Top Offensive Players: QB Kyle Puglia, RB Cody BLanleil
Top Defensive Players: G/DT Aaron Goddard, T/DL Brendan Wallace, T/DL Dakota Poole, C/LB Evin Polack
