The Carson Graham Eagles were sluggish to start the regular season with losses to Vancouver College and a beatable Notre Dame team. But the Eagles got it together to win 2 of the last 3 games and edged out Notre Dame to get into the playoffs. The Eagles ran into a hot South Delta team in the first round losing a nailbiter of a game 35-28. The 04/05 season was more or less a 1 man show, the Brady Carpenter show. The oustanding QB led the team in passing yards and rushing yards and was among the top passers in the league. Carpenter's receivers were Sean Waller, Trevor McKenzie and Dan Campbell. The defensive leaders included T/LB Dillon Nasserden, T/DL Sean Yeulet, and DB Dan Campbell. The Eagles were an average team that finished in the middle of the pack, they got better as the season went on and suprised some with a Playoff berth.

With the 1 man show Carpenter graduating, the Eagles will need to look for some offense, and quickly. To make it worse, all of Waller, McKenzie and Campbell have graduated along with Carpenter. With so many Seniors graduating, the JV standouts will be called upon to step up and fill the void. Rookie RB Scott Malcolm may get the majority of carries ahead of backup RB Chris Johansen who saw limited action last year. Most likely, Gr.10 QB Adam Sancewicz will be called up to play Varsity. Like the offense. the defense will be entirely new and filled with mostly rookies mixed in with a few Juniors from last year.

Don't expect too much from the 05/06 Eagles team. The team will feature mostly inexperienced Juniors and a rookie team that went 2-4 in JV. The Eagles will be a work in progress for at least 1-2 years. Check back in 06 or 07 and we'll see where they are.

Prognosis: 1-4 (may win 1 in exhibition, vs West Van will be close)
Key Games: Week 4, Sands vs Carson; Week 6, WV vs Carson
Top Offensive Players: RB Scott Malcolm, RB Chris Johansen, QB Adam Sancewicz
Top Defensive Players: LB Scott Malcolm
