Week 8 Update

Since this week is again in limbo (and no end in sight for the Teacher's strike), I've decided not to do any previews indefinitely until the strike is settled and play begins.

The latest update on the whole season (for AAA anyways) is that there will be a 16 team Tournament style playoffs in the final 4 weeks culminating in the finals still being played on Dec 3/4. I haven't heard about AA but I assume it will be the same.

The only week they've decided to make up for AAA is Week 7 should Week 8 and Week 9 get cancelled.

So, how will they determine the 16 teams that go to the playoffs?? My understanding is that they will use some form of ranking system. Not sure what criteria will be used, but they will rank the top 16 teams and create the Tournament bracket that way. No bye weeks, everyone plays.

I've been told that no matter what, THERE WILL BE A FINISH TO THE FOOTBALL SEASON. So despite the rumors that Teacher's will cancel all sports for the whole season until next Septemeber, we know that at least there will still be Football and a BC Championship (albeit an abbreviated season).
