AA Game of the Week

Mount Douglas Rams (4-1) vs Lord Tweedsmuir Panthers (5-0)
Fri, Oct. 7 at 3:45, Lord Tweedsmuir

MtD+10 at LT-10 O/U 49

Like in AAA, many great matchups to choose from. But this game will determine the #1 seed in the Georgia Strait Conference. LT comes into the game undefeated and a nice feature article about them in the Province. Much has been made of the exploits of QB Jordan Willetts, RB Bryce Warbinek and DT Greg Anuik. Mt Doug looking to gain some respect and reclaim some of the lost glory that LT is basking in as the #2 ranked team. Should be a fantastic battle between 2 very talented teams. May the best team win.

Mt Doug Offense: RBs Sam Adu-Febiri and Conor MacDonald continue to lead the team on the ground. Passing game continues to improve. Cannot rely solely on the run game if they want a chance to score enough TDs to win.

LT Defense: Shutdown the Barsby Double Wing. Took care of Hugh Boyd as well. The Panthers don't need big sacks or create turnovers, just need to make enough plays to kill the Rams drives and prevent the big play. DT Greg Anuik and LB Bryce Warbinek lead the way.

LT Offense: He can run, pass, tackle, block, walk the dog and paint the fence, this kid can do it all. With heavy scouting interest from all over including NCAA D1, QB Jordan Willetts looks to go out in style with a Championship. Has plenty of help from RB Bryce Warbinek as well.

Mt Doug Defense: The Rams are a big tough defensive unit with decent team speed. Nose Tackle Jon Hitchen and LB Dan Curry lead the defense and will look to contain the potent Panther ground attack. Key to the game will be whether the strength of the Rams Defense can hold the Panthers to less than 3 TDs. Biggest test of the year so far.
