2006 AAA Western Conference Preview
Projected Finish
1. Notre Dame Jugglers
2. Vancouver College Fighting Irish
3. West Vancouver Highlanders
4. Carson Graham Eagles
5. Timberline Wolves
6. Handsworth Royals
Notre Dame returns the most talent for 2006. The Jugglers were a top 7 team most of 2005 and should be better in 2006. QB CJ Brassington and RB Rasotto are back. Discipline was a problem for the Jugglers in 2005, if the Jugglers can keep the flags off the field, they should be a tough team to beat.
The most competitive conference in 2005 will once again be the most competitive in 2006. Vancouver College graduates several top players but with a talented JV group moving up, they will contend for top spot in the conference.
Most impressive in 2005 was the new look West Vancouver Highlanders. Once a program going nowhere, Coach Conn has turned around that program in a heartbeat. The Highlanders have talent returning and add players from a turnaround JV team. Bottom line is that West Van should also contend for top spot in the conference.
Carson Graham, Timberline, and Handsworth are all solid teams heading into 2006. Carson will have tough defense as usual. Timberline returns some good talent and brings up a good JV squad. Handsworth doesn't have any gamebreakers, but Coach Prepchuck will have his boys ready next September.

Don't know where you get your info, but VC will be the class of this conference. There really isn't gonna be a debate about it

The info is widely known. Notre Dame is better based on the players they return vs the players that VC returns.
But you can never count out VC, they've gone to the finals year after year so they certainly can do it again. VC ain't nearly as good as they were this year though.

ND over VC? I don't know about that one. Brassington sucks, and Rasotto is ND's only threat really. VC's got Trey Henderson, and Toby Sroka leading the way. Plus don't forget that this was the team that almost beat STM in the regular season 2 years ago in JV. They didn't have Trey for the playoffs.

West van is going to be very good. Geoff noble will be there qb who started the first 3 games for them. All there linbackers were grade 11 this year and are very good. Very good d line to. Also good wideouts and a solid run game with shawn halgren, adam fatata and mack barlett, along with sam berkun who did play last year but could be one the fastest kids in the province, along with being jacked. Look out for them in 2006. Mike lim, ben barhmi and mack bartlett looking to do big things on defence to, along with micha, and a strong group of juniors will only help

yea and vc will probably get another stud player o-lineman or d-lineman comming to there school... just like Eppele did coming from Howe Sound, and Nazarinia from wherever he came from...
but they will have a good team... but who will be the starting runningback for them this upcoming season...

Did ND even make the JV playoffs. VC definately has more talent coming up. The ND running back is good i like his game, but the QB is not very good. And i'm not saying he will be, but Trey Henderson has the potential to be the most dominating 2-way player in the province

i think that timberline and carson are gonna be switched around come the end of the season...they have the JV squad that went to the semi's and lost to hansen in the 2004 playoffs

Yeah, VC should take the west for the second straight year in a row because they'll probably get 1-2 new imports to fill in key positions just like the last couple of years. Maybe if they're lucky, they'll get a new kicker who's automatic.

carson is usually worse in jv becasue they have a feeder school balmoral where half of their kids come from. half the starters in senior came from balmoral and next year is no different.

cent scored all there points in the first quarter, for the next 3 quarters it was all nd, all nd needed was 1 lucky break in the 4th and they would have won

man are u blonde or something cuz ur really stupid... if cent scored all there points in the first q, and nd scored none... that would make it a 20 - 0 game at the end of 1, which means they put subs in for teh rest of the game
At 11:05 PM, January 07, 2006, Anonymous said…
no, they had starters in the whole game.

West Van is going to the top. In 1 year, coach conn turned around a 0-8 team to a play off team. In 2 years he could improve both teams jsut as well. With great returning players such as Shawn Hallgren, Ben Barhami, geoff noble, mac bartlett, connor watt, mike maloon, andrew cho and mike lim

he did do a great job turning it around, but they still arent going to be above VC or ND.

I understand that Carson Graham is protesting the first 3 games of the 2006 season due to biased officiating!

Yeah but they were told to "get in line" so they went back to stealing lunch money from the local elmentary kids.

Carson will do well in the first 3 games since they are playing Double A teams! Look for West Van to roll the Eagles!
